- Is the item out of date, do I like it or does it no longer fit me (e.g. clothes that are too tight)?
- Is the item no longer needed (e.g. old baby carriage)?

If you have answered “yes ” to at least one of the questions, you should part with the respective item.

4. what does a professional clear-out cost me?
Some clearing companies want to inspect the household contents to be disposed of in advance so that they can provide a realistic cost estimate. Understandably so, as clearing out companies often come across messy apartments, especially when clearing out apartments, which can take several days to clear.
If your move is a complete house clearance or you have a lot of bulky items to dispose of, you should ask the clearing company for a free inspection. Make sure you get several quotes so that you can better assess the price/performance ratio.
If you only have individual items (such as an old piano) to clear out, a photo and size/weight of the item may suffice.
